GRIPS - long-term measurements at the mesopause near 87 km altitude

Over 40 years of temperature measurements at 87 km altitude

The Wuppertal GRound-based Infrared P-Branch Spectrometer (GRIPS) instruments have measured the temperature of the mesopause region at an altitude of about 87 km in "every" night since 1980. You can find the corresponding press article here. More than 10000 nightly mean temperatures are available for all instruments together.
